Do our hero Prithviraj has a special liking for the Police? Well apparently it may be coincidence, looking at his filmography we can tell that he really likes police roles.
In his career he has been part of many police roles, and now he is shooting for Mumbai Police. Also another cop movie has been announced for Prithvi after Mumbai Pole. It is Jithu Joseph, who is on a high after super the super hit My Boss, will be directing the new thriller. And the first time Meghna Raj will pair opposite Prithviraj in this flick. She will be seen playing the wife of Prithviraj.
Talking about Prithviraj’s craze about Police roles, it is all start with Vinayan directed Sathyam, where he first time appears in Police uniform as SI Sanjeev Kumar in 2004. It followed by many police characters which include Police (2005), Krithyam (2005), Vargam (2006). Before going to Telugu with Police Police which released in 2010. And in the same year briefly again he appeared in Police Uniform in blockbuster Pokkiri Raja, which also had Mega Star Mammootty and Shriya Saran in the lead.
In 2010 he once again played a police officer in Maniratnam’s hit movie Raavanan, which also see him sharing screen space with Vikram and Aiswarya Rai. The Thriller also released in same 2012 which has him playing another officer Niranjan who investigates a murder.
In 2011 he has done an extended cameo for Baburaj’s Manushya Mrigam, where he played IPS David. In 2012 Masters directed Johny Antony, a unique film, which has Prithviraj played ASP Sriramakrishnan who is a friend of journalist Milan Paul played by acclaimed Tamil actor/ director Sasikumar.
In 2013 we will have him in Police roles for Mumbai Police as well as Jithu Joseph’s untitled project. Let’s wish him the very best !!
