Stuffed Chicken Roast
(Pan fried one)
Ingredients:
Whole Chicken – 1 small
Lemon – 1/2 tsp
Red Chilly powder – 3/ 4 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/2tsp
Salt

For Stuffing :

Egg – 1/2 (hard boiled-depending on the size of your chicken)
Onion – 1 big(finely chopped)
Green chillies – 3 / 4(chopped)
Curry leaves – a spring
Ginger-Garlic paste – 1 tsp
Red chilly powder – 1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Garam masala powder – 1/2 tsp
Coriander leaves chopped – 1/2 cup
salt
Oil
Kitchen twine (for tying the chicken’s hands and legs)

Method:

Skin the chicken and clean it thoroughly.Make tiny slits on the chicken both inside and outside, for the masala to marinate well. Now apply a lemon juice all over the chicken,to remove any unwanted smell.Rinse again in cold water and keep it aside.Nw marinate the chicken with
red chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt, both inside and outside.Nw kept it for 2/3 hrs.
Nw time to prepare stuffing
Heat oil in a pan and saute onions, curry leaves, green chillies and ginger-garlic paste until onion turns translucent.Add the spice powders (for stuffing) and fry it in medium heat for 2/3 m or until everything is blended together.Add salt and other ingredients for stuffing and mix together. Finally add the boiled egg & fry for few more minutes.
Switch off the heat and keep it aside.Filling the stuffing into the chicken,
First push the eggs into the cavity and then the onions,be careful not to overstuff.Usually use a kitchen twine to tie together chickens legs first, and then the hands.becoz when we use dis for griiling the chicken &oven use ..
but my stuffed chicken roast
is little different whether u pple believe it or not i stich the chicken with needle&thread after stuffing the egg masala..i used dis method.becoz i roast the full chicken in non-stick pan..if it not stich or tie with kitchen twine masalas il come out side.its little time consuming process..but taste superbbb.
Nw time to Fry the chicken ,Heat a big pan,big enough to fit the chicken and add oil into it.You may need 1/4th oil for it.Place the chicken gently into the pan &fry the chicken, until all the sides are golden browned,& fully fried all sides. You have to turn the chicken as and when needed. When it is Fried all sides switch off the fire &serve hot with chappathi
