Film tells the story of a man who returns from Germany, and to reach Kerala he faces lots of traps. How he will survive the situation forms the core of Kadal kadannu Oru Mathukutty.
Superstar Mohanlal and Dileep will play important cameos in this film. Alisha Mohammed will make her Tinseltown debut as the heroine of Mammootty. Da thadiya fame Shekhar Menon will be playing another important role too.
Film has an ensemble cast with the likes of Nedumudi Venu, Balachandra Menon, Siddique, Harisree Asokan, Suresh Krishna, P. Balachandran, Balachandran Chullikad, Prem Prakash, Meera Nandan, Muthumani, Krishna Prabha and Kaviyoor Ponnamma.
Madhu Neelakandan is the cinematographer and Shahabas Aman is the music director.
The film produced by actor Prithviraj, Shaji Nadesan and Santhosh Sivan under August Cinema, already tasted the success with satellite rights sold to Asianet with a record breaking sum of 5.75 crores, which makes this film a profitable one even before its theatrical release.
